Xbox Series X’s release date might have been leaked by one of its launch games.
Thanks to a series of official leaks and announcements, the Xbox Series X’s launch date is slowly approaching. Sega’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the one to blame for the recent leak.
A press release for the much-awaited game has stated that the Japanese crime action game will arrive on the Xbox Series X’s release day. Here is what you need to know.
Xbox Series X Launch Date and Other Significant Details
Sega’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon might be the one to blame for the latest Xbox Series X leak, but we’re glad for what it did. The game’s Microsoft Store page tells us when we should expect the game, and we know it’s the same date when the Xbox Series X will come, too.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is now scheduled for a November 13 release. So, the much-awaited next-gen console will also debut on November 13.
This date could change since there’s still a few months to go before the system’s launch window. But, until other reports and leaks appear, we’re willing to believe this November date. And even if there’s only a difference of one week or maybe two, it seems like a believable timeframe when the upcoming Xbox Series X will arrive.
Another report shows a container of Xbox Series X controllers wearing a sticker with the message, “do not sell or display before November 6, 2020.” This date is exactly a week before November 13, and it could point to a slightly staggered launch around the world. Or that Sega’s game will have its launch date brought forward.
If the Xbox Series X does arrive around early to mid-November, we should also expect the PS5 to be not far behind, or maybe a bit earlier.
