Xbox Series S Price and Design Unveiled: What to Expect

Microsoft was rumored for quite a while to have under development another console that could be launched with an affordable price tag. However, a recent leak offers us more details about the Xbox Series S that wears the codename, Lockhart.

Paul Thurrott, a well-known tech podcaster, posted an image and unveiled the upcoming Xbox console design and the price tag of $299. Here is what you should know.

Xbox Series S Price Details

One of the best things at the Xbox Series S is its price. The console is expected to be launched with a price tag of $299. It is also said to be a part of the $25 Xbox All Access monthly plan that comes with the Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live. Such a thing would make the console one of the most affordable consoles, an ingenious way for Microsoft to win gamers willing to try the next-gen games without the 4K feature.

With the incredible $25 Xbox Game Pass pass, the company will also push subscriptions to a broad audience. To note, the console’s design won’t come with the disc drive.

Both the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S consoles will arrive on November 10, just in time for the perfect gift this Christmas.

Xbox Series S Design Details

The recently leaked image shows a white console, which slightly resembles the Xbox One S. The image source is still unknown; however, another tipster, WalkingCat, also published a short video of the Xbox Series S. The video shows the Xbox Series S, slimmer than the Series X, giving us enough room to fit in under TVs.

According to a report, the new Xbox Series S will skip the disc drive. But it will feature four teraflops of GPU performance, a boasted CPU and SSD, ready to run the next-gen games.
