Xbox Games Showcase Latest Details: What We Should Expect

Soon we’ll welcome the biggest Xbox Series X event so far. After a thrilling PS5 live stream in June that unveiled new Horizon and Spider-Man game titles\, it’s now Microsoft’s turn to offer more details.

Starting July 23 at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET, the Xbox Games Showcase intends to offer world premiere reveals for future games headed to Xbox Series X, PC, and Xbox One. Here are the latest details.

More Halo Infinite

The Xbox Games Showcase will be the next biggest coming-out party for Halo Infinite, one of the most anticipated installments in Microsoft’s flagship shooter games. Halo Infinite is due to arrive alongside the next-gen console, Xbox Series X.

Xbox Games Marketing lead, Aron Greenberg, revealed in an Xbox Wire post that we’d finally get a “first-ever look at campaign gameplay” from the upcoming Halo game.

So far, we’ve received only teases of Halo Infinite. A few weeks ago, developer 343 published a cryptic tease on Twitter, indicating that the Banished faction from Halo Wars 2 could make a comeback in Infinite. Our thoughts should be on Halo Infinite starting or closing the event with a considerable amount of single-player action. According to Greenberg, people interested in Infinite’s competitive multiplayer might have to wait longer.

New Reveals and Other Significant Details

Greenberg’s recent tweet claims that the Games Showcase will be approximately one hour long, and will be utterly focused on games. Xbox didn’t release any statements about other games. Still, we should expect to see more details about Xbox exclusives, such as Everwild and Hellblade 2, and third-party titles, too, like Madden NFL 21 and Marvel’s Avengers.

Some rumors suggest a new installment in the Fable series and a new Perfect Dark game, too.

No Xbox Series X Hardware or Price Details

Greenberg explained that there would be “no business, devices, or similar news” at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase. So, we shouldn’t expect any details about the next-gen console’s price or hardware.

Eurogamer recently stated that the Xbox Series X reveal is due in August. Microsoft could be planning an exclusive hardware event for next month. More details will be released in the coming weeks.
