Huawei continues its hegemony on the smartphone market. For the second quarter of 2020, Huawei sold 55.8 million units worldwide when it comes to smartphones. The Chinese brand recently surpassed Samsung for the world’s best-selling smartphone vendor, and they plan to keep that glorious position.
CEO Richard Yu unveiled the Mate 40 series of Huawei’s flagships during an online launch event: the standard Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, and Mate 40 Pro+. All phone models are featuring powerful hardware and stunning cameras, but there’s one big downside.
No apps and services from Google
Just like many other gadgets released by Huawei in recent years, Mate 40 as well is lacking Google apps and services. The Chinese company still has plenty to pay due to the US trade ban. Due to national security concerns, the Trump administration put Huawei on an export blacklist by essentially banning the company from importing any hardware into the US. President Trump has even extended the ban on Huawei until May 2021.
But Huawei can have a great life even so, as this new video proves it:
Whether you’re looking for AI gesture control, super zoom, IP68 water resistance, and more, you can find them all on Huawei’s new Mate 40 series!
Most powerful Kirin chipset ever
Mate 40 features the Kirin 9,000 5G processor, which is capable of amazing things at unprecedented speeds for its manufacturer. Having an extra speed at a phone’s chipset is always a welcome trait, especially during these times when portable gadgets are constantly evolving.
What about the battery, shouldn’t this aspect be improved as well? Huawei totally agrees with that, as it not only built a 4,400 mAh battery into each phone of the Mate 40 series. The presence of the 50W Wireless SuperCharge is also there, ready to make our dreams come true.
The Huawei Mate 40 series will be launched in November, and the basic model will cost around 1,200 euros.
