The Elder Scroll 6’s Time – Clues Hidden Inside ESO And Skyrim!

The Elder Scrolls 6 can take place in various periods, but the events of past (and current) Elder Scrolls games might be the key to answer the mystery.

The Elder Scrolls 6 is one of the most anticipated titles of the coming decade. The teaser trailer was released two years ago, but Bethesda hasn’t revealed too many details since then.

As the last three games focused on a single province, it is safe to say that The Elder Scrolls 6 will do the same.

Impacts Of Other Games

The first four games of the Elder Scrolls franchise took place relatively close to each other. The Oblivion Crisis took place only three decades after the events of The Elder Scrolls: Arena, the first game of the franchise.

Skyrim was the most prominent leap from its predecessor, as it was set 200 years after the events of Oblivion.

The gap was a smart move from Bethesda – It allowed players to acknowledge better the long-term effects of Oblivion and the end of the Septim Empire.

The Elder Scrolls Online happens a thousand years before Skyrim, which means that Bethesda could keep the future open for its main games, which means that The Elder Scrolls 6 will likely be set after Skyrim. Still, it could focus on some of the longer-term impacts of Skyrim’s events on the inhabitants of Tamriel.

The end of the Skyrim Civil War will likely play a big part in shaping the background of The Elder Scrolls 6.

Regardless of who won the Civil War, the Aldmeri Dominion will likely have extended its influence.

Likely Period

It appears that The Elder Scrolls 6 will be set between 100 to 300 years after Skyrim, which narrows down the possibilities quite a bit. We can’t help but wonder what Bethesda has in store for us!
