The Card Warriors Update for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Brings a New Game Mode

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot not only brings new transformations for Goku and Vegeta in updates, it also brings new game modes for those who pay enough attention. The mighty Saiyans received the Super Saiyan God form, and the players get to train with Beerus for that, but it’s time to focus our attention towards something a little more unusual.

The card warriors update for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot is the new aspect in question, and it brings a new game mode entitled “Dragon Ball Card Warriors”. As the name suggests, it’s a unique card game where players have to build their own decks of Dragon Ball characters and can battle with other players.

Bandai Namco explains the basics about the new mode in the following trailer:

The update has already been made available, and it’s free to grab by anyone owning a legal copy of the fighting game!

Is Ultra Instinct Goku coming up next?

After the DLC’s with Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, and Golden Frieza, the most logical next step would be the addition of Goku’s strongest transformation in all of Dragon Ball: the Ultra Instinct technique that he used for battling Jiren and Kefla during the Tournament of Power from Dragon Ball Super. There’s no word from the developer nor the publisher yet that such a technique will indeed be represented in the game. But Ultra Instinct Goku would be a bit too powerful for the other opponents, and he would practically be invincible. Such an addition should be carefully analyzed, as there are very few Dragon Ball characters that have any chance of being any sort of match against Ultra Instinct Goku: Jiren, and… that’s pretty much all.
