Take-Two seems to take active steps to get ready for whatever is next for GTA by registering a domain.
The wait for new information about Grand Theft Auto 6 has been stressful for fans of the franchise. Speculations, leaks, and some reports have been circulating for quite a while that GTA 6’s location might end up to be the praised Vice City. Now, it might have just gotten even more likely. Here is what you need to know.
GTA 6’s Locations Hinted by Take-Two
There have been many rumors and leaks about GTA 6, though many of them point to the franchise making a comeback to the famous Vice City. Recently, the holding company of the Grand Theft Auto series, Take-Two Interactive, has registered an online domain titled GTA Vice City Online. And the hype has started.
Long time GTA fans have welcomed Vice City as the fourth installment in the GTA series, though the other parts haven’t returned to Vice City since the 2006 PSP launch, Vice City Stories.
While Rockstar Games and Take-Two have preferred to remain silent on GTA 6, a newly opened domain registered by Take-Two might point to a comeback to Vice City. The speculations are now intensified.
Take-Two’s domain was discovered by a Reddit user known as “cmputerguy.” Such a thing has many fans believing that the sixth installment in the series could take place in Vice City and have integrated online functionality as GTA 5 did with GTA Online. GTA Online is still highly praised and still getting huge content updates, like the recent Summer update.
The Vice City map had many secret areas and Easter Eggs that took us ages to discover and explore, which helped make it our favorite setting in the series. Returning to Vice City on next-gen hardware would be a delight.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is reportedly under development.
