Insomniac Games has recently confirmed that Spider-Man: Miles Morales will take various steps to turn Miles Morales into quite the character.
Despite sharing the Spider-Man name, Miles Morales and Peter Parker are two different characters. Both show their human side and the superhero one but in their unique way.
Insomniac Games wanted to highlight those differences in the upcoming Spider-Man: Miles Morales to show how different Miles will be. Here is what you need to know.
Miles Morales vs. Peter Parker: What to Expect
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bryan Intihar and Brian Horton – the creative directors of Spider-Man: Miles Morales – discussed how the upcoming PS5 exclusive would highlight Miles and Peter’s differences. The most apparent aspect will be through Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ gameplay, as Mies’ hero powers differ from Peter’s.
In the interview, both creative directors unveiled that Peter will teach Miles how to control and use his Spider-Man skills better. And while Miles will learn the basics of Spider-Man powers from Peter, he’ll use them in his way. Intihar and Horton imply that all Miles’ movements and animations will be unique.
Miles will get around New York with his flair and his basic fighting techniques, differently from what we’ve seen at Peter. And from the way both creative directors describe their vision, Miles’ skills will tie into new mechanics that Spider-Man: Miles Morales will bring.
While the gameplay will be the most obvious way Spider-Man: Miles Morales shows that Miles and Peter are very different, it won’t be the only thing. The story will also highlight how the characters juggle their Spider-Man responsibilities and their daily lives.
The two creative directors also discussed how Miles’ differences would influence his hero’s journey. Practically, the game will show us how Miles becomes Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales will arrive this year on PS5.
