Sony Xperia 9 will be the next flagship device from the well-known Japanese company and the successor of the Xperia 8. This device was said to be presented at the MWC 2020 tech in Barcelona. As the event unfortunately canceled, Sony confirmed that it would announce the smartphone at an exclusive online event in the same period as planned before.
Currently, however, a series of leaks unveiled the Sony Xperia 9 in all its glory. The leaked images seemed to be taken from the official Sony page. One of the smartphone’s features that the images confirm is the arrival of a triple-camera module at its back.
Sony Xperia 9 Features and Details
Sony Xperia 9 got unveiled earlier on the Internet, and a Reddit user posted the screenshots. It appears that the next-gen Sony Xperia will arrive with an essential bezel at the top and a bit smaller bezel on its chip. Also, Sony Xperia 9, resembles a lot its predecessor, Sony Xperia 8, when it comes to the design. The smartphone appears to have the edges more curved at its sides, a single selfie camera, and a speaker grille at the top.
At its back, Sony Xperia 9 got a sleek triple-camera sensor with the three sensors placed vertically in the middle of its back. As for its camera module, the smartphone received a significant upgrade. The fingerprint sensor at the rear is missing, but we should expect an in-display fingerprint sensor or a side-placed sensor, as we previously have seen at the Sony Xperia 8.
What We Should Expect
As Sony Xperia 9 will be here soon, we can expect it to be introduced with some premium features and advanced specs. The smartphone should compete with one of its biggest rivals, such as Samsung, Hawai, or Apple. We should wait, however, for the first official announcements to find out more about Sony Xperia 9.
