Sony impressed the smartphone market back in May when it launched the Xperia 1 II phone. The gadget is packed with Android 10 out of the box, a Snapdragon 865 processor, and 8GB of RAM for the highlights. But neither Sony and its fans cannot be pleased too easily, and so the Japanese company recently announced the successor Xperia 5 II.
Sony Xperia 5 II impresses through its compact design, as it will surely be compared to iPhone SE. The gaming area will be one of the favorites for Sony’s new phone, and there’s no wonder why: the gadget features a 120Hz refresh rate for the OLED display and a 240Hz sample rate touch input. The presence of the Adreno 650 GPU is also contributing to a great device for gaming.
It costs around 900 euros
Xperia 5 II from Sony may be a bit too expensive for what it has to offer, but the truth is that the specs are decent for a 2020 phone that’s also packed with the 5G connectivity. The processor and the amount of RAM are the same as the Xperia 1 II model, and the cameras are also worth mentioning: Xperia 5 II features a triple camera setup mounted on the rear (each sensor having 12 MP), and a single camera for selfies that’s capable of 8MP. The main camera setup is capable of 3x optical zoom, Zeiss optics, LED flash, panorama, HDR, and eye tracking. As for the video recording capabilities, there’s no need to worry about this area as well. Xperia 5 II films in the 4K format at 120fps with the main camera, while the selfie snapper records only in the 1080p format.
Sony Xperia 5 II becomes available in four versions of color (Black, Grey, Blue, Pink), and it possesses a decent battery: a capacity of 4,000 mAh with Fast charging at 21W.
