After many rumors and hints, Redmi 8A Dual reached India recently, being introduced as the brand-new budget smartphone. The device has been released alongside next-gen power banks valued at Rs. 799 onwards. Redmi 8A Dual got a sleek design, featuring a plastic rear panel with Aura x Grip rather than of the expected Aura Wave Grip architecture of the Redmi 8A.
Redmi 8A Dual Costs for India
The Redmi 8A Dual arrived in three variants of colors. You can choose a Sky White, a Midnight Gray, or a Sea Blue. The basic version of the device has been launched with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM and costs Rs. 6,499. The other high-end variant comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM, and the price reaches Rs. 6,999. The Redmi 8A Dual will be available for purchase from February 18 on Amazon India, Mi Home Stores, and Mi.com. In the following weeks, the smartphone will also be available in other offline shops.
Redmi 8A Dual Features and Other Details
Redmi 8A Dual is equipped with a 6.22-inch HD+2.5D curved screen, with a 1520×720 pixel resolution + an aspect ratio of 19:9. A Corning Gorilla Glass protection will ensure users their smartphone will do well in case of a dropout. As for its performance, the Redmi 8A Dual got an octa-core Snapdragon 439 SoC joined with Adreno 505 GPU, 2GB/3GB of RAM. For the smartphone’s storage, developers made possible 32 GB of eMMC 5.1. Redmi 8A Dual also comes with a microSD card slot for up to 512 GB of storage space.
Other features include Android 9 Pie topped with MIUI 10, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual SIM card slots, dual 4G VoLTE, Wireless FM Radio, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port. The dual cameras at its back feature a 13 MP main sensor with an LED flash and a 2 MP secondary sensor. A 5000mAh battery fuels the smartphone and offers an 18W fast charging.
