Rockstar is having a lot of success with both GTA Online and Red Dead Online, and things aren’t looking like they will change anytime soon. A long awaited mode finally arrives in the second game, and it will surely delight a lot of people playing it on PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC.
There are over 660,000 players currently online in Red Dead Online, and they have yet another reason to play the game more.
Don’t miss The Hardcore Series
This is the new mode in question, and you’re free to give it a try right now if you’re among the Red Dead Online players. But what this mode means is not rocket science: it takes ability cards and consumables from the game to provide a more authentic experience of cowboy showdown. The mode is specially destined for expert gunslingers who are in a romantic relationship with the trigger.
“No Ability Cards. No consumables. Just you, your opponent and your trigger,” says a description of the new mode. “If you think you’re an expert gunslinger, the Hardcore Series is where you’ll meet your match. Keep an eye on the Featured Series tile for the occasional Hardcore Series in the weeks ahead. This week, jump into the Hardcore variations of Overrun, Spoils of War, Hostile Territory and Most Wanted.”

Red Dead Online is definitely still worth playing in 2020, although it’s almost two years old. We can expect the game to also become available for the upcoming next-generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, respectively. The two gaming gears will be featuring backward compatibility for most titles of their predecessor consoles.
