Who said that gaming on a smartphone can’t be a ton of fun? If you add Qualcomm’s new processor capable of 120fps and mmWave 5G support, you’ll have a great gaming experience. Pair that with connecting a controller, and you have the full picture of a gaming beast that fits perfectly in your pocket.
The chipset in question is the Snapdragon 750G, as Qualcomm introduced it recently. However, the first smartphones packed with the chipset will become available during late 2020. Xiaomi announces that it will be the first company to equip its phones with the little tech miracle.
Support for 120fps gaming
The Snapdragon 750G processor stands out for several reasons. First, it’s a global 5G chipset that features noise suppression powered by AI and supports 120fps gaming. Second, the processor is equipped with X52 modem, and it brings mmWave 5G. The peak download speeds can hit 3.7 Gbps. Qualcomm says that we’re talking about a truly global 5G chipset with multi-SIM support.
Qualcomm said on its website:
Truly global 5G, amazing on-device AI, and boosted performance combine for brilliant HDR gaming, all backed by sustainable power. Connect from virtually anywhere and play longer—this platform just keeps delivering.
The AI hardware is capable of up to 4.0 TOPS, and it is used for the Noise Suppression (ECNS) and the Qualcomm Aqstic Echo Cancellation technology. This is great news for those who frequently engage in video calls and need some silence for the background when the dog is barking or when the neighbors are fixing something loudly. Let’s not also overlook the fact that the Snapdragon 750G chipset features an octa-core Kryo 570 processor that’s clocked at 2.2 GHz.
We’re eagerly waiting to see the Snapdragon 750G processor powering smartphones, as the future of mobile gaming is just around the corner.
