It’s highly NOT recommended to play an augmented reality game like Pokemon Go during these times. But after the ongoing pandemic will be gone, grabbing your phone and searching the environment for your favorite pocket monsters is a great idea for spending time and having a lot of fun.
Even though the insanely popular Pokemon media franchise is about a quarter of a century old, it still gets related games and content that are gathering fans together. Furthermore, the 0.171.4 update is being rolled out via Niantic Labs’ official OTA (over the air) channels. Therefore, be sure to keep your phone connected to a stable Wi-Fi network if you’re a Pokemon fan!
What the update brings new
There are no bug fixes in this patch as far as we know. Bug fixes are something regular for game updates, but this one brings something more as we can all see below:
- Today View: you can get current event bonuses by simply heading to the Today tab on the research screen.
- Play GO Battle League until you are successful: If you don’t achieve at least a win in a set of five battles, you can continue trying until you win.
- Team GO Rocket has now invaded the world of Pokémon GO and it’s up to you to save the situation! You’ll get to battle against Team GO Rocket Grunts for restoring PokéStops and rescueing Pokémon.
Tired of classic games that are only demanding you to stay in front of the screen? Pokemon Go does a lot more since it’s mandatory to travel across kilometers for successful gameplay. As an official presentation of the game says on Google Play:
