PlayStation Plus: Check Out The FREE Games for October

The free games for the October list will be a true delight for gamers and another solid proof that the good old PlayStation 4 console still has a lot to prove. With the next-generation PlayStation 5 console being at just a month and a half before its release, PlayStation Plus offers us new reasons to open the PS4 console during this October.

Starting October 6, those who are subscribed to PlayStation Plus can claim Vampyr and Need for Speed Payback. Let’s have a closer look at the two games:

Need for Speed Payback

Need for Speed Payback is a racing game developed by Ghost Games and published by Electronic Arts in 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. We’re talking about the twenty-third installment from the Need for Speed series.

Need for Speed Payback is set in Fortune Valley, where the player can get himself a crew for taking down The House, which is a nefarious cartel that rules the city’s casinos, criminals, and even cops.

Vampyr

In Vampyr, you play as Jonathan Reid, a doctor in 1918 London newly turned into a vampire following his return from the Great War. Reid is driven by a personal desire to learn who caused his transformation and why, while also working to aid the city against a devastating disease that decimates its citizens. At the same time, Reid must confront his nature as a blood-drinker and the terrible temptation to feed on those he swore to protect.

Vampyr was developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Focus Home Interactive. The game was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows during mid-2018, and for Nintendo Switch during late 2019.

Both games are free-to-play within the PlayStation Plus service from October 6 to November 2. Let us know in a comment which one of the two games you like more and why!
