PlayStation 5 DualSense Specs and Other Features

Sony claims that it improved the ergonomics of the new controller. The regular haptic feedback should improve the gameplay experience. Sony has further boosted the sensation of adaptive haptic feedback technology.

Gamers should experience some irregular tensions of their actions depending on the tasks and gameplay. The adaptive triggers are placed in the L2 and R2 buttons of the DualSense gamepad. The full list of features includes a rechargeable battery, haptic feedback, built-in mic, adaptive triggers, lightbar next to the touchpad, and new Create button (it replaces the Share button).

The DualSense Controller has an improved battery. Sony hasn’t detailed the capacity of the battery, but as mentioned above, it is rechargeable. Users can charge it using a USB Type-C cable.

PlayStation 5 DualSense Controller Design

Sony unveiled the controller for PlayStation 5, and it looks intensely redesigned. It appears to have a more compact form-factor, and it will probably feel smaller than it looks. The grips have been updated, and the angle of the hand triggers have been significantly modified.

The most significant upgrade, however, is the Create button that replaces the Share one. Sony explained that the new button would provide the flexibility of developing gameplay content that gamers might want to share.

Moreover, the DualSense Controller appears to have a more symmetrical layout. The D-pad, for example, and the face buttons are placed on the top half of the controller. As for the matching analog sticks, they were placed on the bottom.

The accompanying light and the touchpad are now at the center of the controller, while the light bar sits next to the sides of the touchpad. The PlayStation 5 DualSense Controller is being shipped to game developers now so that they can utilize its distinctive features in games.
