Outriders Arriving on Xbox Game Pass

According to a blog post released by Xbox today, the highly anticipated Outriders will be added to the Xbox Game Pass library on day one. The game will be available via Game Pass on April 1st for Console, Android phones, and tablets. However, it seems that PC players won’t be getting it through the popular subscription service, at least for now. Regardless, this is great news for Game Pass users looking into jumping into the world of Outriders at release without worrying about purchasing it separately (unless they want to of course).

This news comes only a few weeks after Square Enix released a demo of the game to give players a glimpse of what Outriders is all about. Players will be also able to transfer their progress from the demo in order to have a head start when the full version of the game releases in two weeks. Outriders is seeking to establish itself as a coop RPG looter shooter that takes you to a distant planet called Enoch in hopes of colonizing it. Things go south fairly quickly and humans encounter massive energy storms that grant them and all of the planet’s other inhabitants violent superpowers. The game allows players to pick between four unique classes, with various abilities such as manipulating time and launching seismic attacks to name a few.

The game has already become a smash hit by recording over 2 million downloads within few days of the demo’s release. It is not difficult to see the appeal of a fast-paced brutal cover shooter especially with the increasing popularity of coop shooters these days. Outriders can be played solo or with up to two friends regardless of their platform of choice thanks to full cross-platform support.

Outriders will be releasing on Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, Playstation 4 & 5, Google Stadia, and PC on April 1.
