Oppo has finally announced its much-awaited Oppo Ace 2 smartphone. After lots of rumors and leaks, Oppo Ace 2 is now ready to hit the market in its home country China. Surprisingly, Oppo chose to drop the Reno branding this time around.
The upcoming smartphone follows in the steps of the Oppo Find X2 Pro, released last month. So far, details about its features, specs, price, and availability have been unveiled.
Oppo Ace 2 Features and Specs
Oppo Ace 2 will sport a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 6 protection, a punch-hole cutout, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. For high performance, the device will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, support for dual-mode 5G, a 4000mAh battery that will support up to 40W wireless charging. This type will feature an AirVOOC tech.
As for its camera performance, Oppo Ace 2 will arrive with a quad-camera setup at the back panel with a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor. The punch-hole cutout will house a selfie camera sensor of 16MP.
Oppo Ace 2 Cost and Availability Unveiled
Oppo Ace 2 has been confirmed to arrive in three storage variants. The base version will feature 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM for 3,999 CNY (Rs.41,000). The second variant comprises 8G RAM and 256GB ROM for 4,399 CNY (Rs. 45,000). Finally, the high-end version will arrive with 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM and with a price tag of 4,599 CNY (Rs. 47,000).
As for the availability details, Oppo Ace 2 will start shipping from April 20. It has been announced in three color variants, including Moon Rock Gray, Aurora Silver, and Fantasy Purple. Even if the smartphone’s release event in India is doubtful, we can expect news in the following weeks.
