Oppo has under development a few smartphones with improved features. An unconfirmed Oppo handset with the model number PDYM20 has been spotted on different benchmark and listing websites. 

The speculated Oppo A72 5G was recently seen on Geekbench. The smartphone is said to pack the Dimensity 720 chipset. Here is what you need to know. 

Oppo A72 5G Spotted on Geekbench: What We Should Expect

The Oppo device that appeared on Geekbench can be confirmed to be the Oppo A72 5G as the same handset with the same model number spotted on TEENA recently. The Geekbench listing unveils a few new features about the upcoming device, including its RAM and processor. 

The listing further reveals that the Oppo A72 5G will house the MediaTek’s MT6853 chip. This chip is the company’s unannounced Dimensity 720 chipset, referred to on the official website. The MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC comes with a base frequency of 2.0GHz. 

Other features include 8GB RAM, and previous reports claimed that the Oppo A72 5G would arrive with more RAM options, 4GB and 6GB. The smartphone will run on Android 10 topped with the latest variant of ColorOS custom skin. 

Oppo A72 5G Rumored Specs and Features

As mentioned, the Oppo A72 5G was previously seen on the TEENA listing website. According to this, the handset will feature a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout. Oppo A72 5G will also include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. 

As for the camera features, the smartphone is said to flaunt an 8MP selfie camera, and at its rear panel, a triple-camera setup with 16MP + 8MP + 2MP shooters. 

The TEENA listing also unveiled that the Oppo A72 5G will arrive in three RAM options, 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB, paired will 128GB onboard storage. Oppo A72 5G is expected to be a mid-range handset.
