OnePlus HydrogenOS 11 New Features and Other Significant Details

OnePlus launched the Android 11-based HydrogenOS 11 and is now available for users in China. The features were updated on the changelog, and they really seem fantastic.

From an enhanced dark mode, always-on display, to an improved gallery app, the OnePlus HydrogenOS 11 sure brings the best features so far. The always-on display feature has been teased many times before, and OnePlus launched the function in collaboration with Parsons College in the US.

Furthermore, the always-on display on HydrogenOS 11 displays a vertical line on the screen with the time and date. It also shows the total amount of unlocks and when the device was last unlocked.

OnePlus has also improved the dark mode on its handsets, introducing a shortcut switch to activate the dark mode. Like iPhones, users can set their OnePlus smartphones to switch to dark mode according to sunrise or sunset. The functionality has been enhanced for visually impaired users.

Besides, OnePlus also brought an improvement to the Gallery app and the Weather one. The Gallery app now has a new and sleek design that integrates video and image editing features, with some intriguing changes in the layout.

As for the Weather app, users can now enjoy a couple of animations and refreshed backgrounds that modify according to the actual weather.

The HydrogenOS 11 update added a new ORM memory management system that helps run more apps without troubling the RAM. Other new features include the one-hand mode for better usability, new themes in Zen Mode, live wallpapers, and enhanced support for speech-to-text conversations for voice notes. More details about the new HydrogenOS 11, such as its availability, should be released in the coming weeks.
