According to the reports, the smartphone company OnePlus is preparing to launch its upcoming top-range devices. The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are going to arrive soon on the market, and we can’t wait to see what they can offer. Both flagship smartphones will launch at the same time on April 15, 2020.
The upcoming flagship models are said to be revealed at an online conference. The event will be held sometime in the middle of April, which means we don’t have long to wait until all the secrets are out.
As you know, many events have been canceled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and the OnePlus event is on the same boat. The virus taking over the world has put a stop to this event as well due to the risks it involves; therefore, the conference is now held online.
Coronavirus forced the delay of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro release date
Besides the change of the events, the virus outbreak has also caused delays for the OnePlus smartphone company. The development of these upcoming OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro devices were also delayed. The OnePlus event should have happened in the middle of this year’s March, according to an insider of the company.
Due to the turn of the event the virus has caused, it seems like the OnePlus 8 Lite smartphone is the most affected product of all upcoming OnePlus devices. The OnePlus 8 Lite device is not going to be powered by a Snapdragon processor, which makes it the first smartphone of the company without this chipset.
Then, the Lite version of the OnePlus 8 device will feature a MediaTek Dimensity processor. The price of the upcoming phone is set up to £400. However, the launch of the OnePlus 8 Lite smartphone is going to be postponed. We don’t expect the release to take place in the upcoming months.
The coronavirus outbreaks affect the premium models of the phones as well. We don’t know where the company stands with the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro release date of the smartphones, but we will find out more during the online conference. It is also not very clear when these two devices will reach the shelves; however, we will soon find out. The situation depends mostly on the Chinese manufacturer, and at the moment, things don’t look that good.
