Last month, HMD Global confirmed a bunch of new devices such as the Nokia 8.3, the first 5G smartphone, Nokia 5.3, and 1.3. Besides these variants, the company also chose to release again the Nokia 5310. Now, within few weeks of the release event of these smartphones, speculations about an upcoming smartphone, dubbed Nokia 6.3, emerged. A report by MySmartPrice details that the Nokia 6.3 might arrive soon with some sleek and much-awaited specs and features.
Nokia 6.3 Rumored Specs
According to the report, the next Nokia installment is going to be a mid-range smartphone powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 675 or Snapdragon 670 processor. Both chipsets are rumored to power the mid-range devices in 2020. If such speculations turn out to be accurate, the upcoming Nokia 6.3 will be more powerful than expected. The report alleges, as well, that the next Nokia 7.3 could arrive with an even more powerful chipset, a Snapdragon 720G.
As for the camera features, Nokia 6.3 is likely to sport four cameras at the rear panel with Zeiss optics. There’s no news about the camera module’s skills and specs, but the front panel it’s believed to house a 16MP sensor. However, probably the most intriguing speculation so far is the arrival of a quad-camera module on the Nokia 6.3.
The Possible Nokia 6.3 Release Date
If the setup is going to be introduced, it will feature a mix of macro, ultra-wide-angle, and depth sensors. The report details that the design could feature a waterdrop notch resembling its predecessor, or no notch at all. It is likely to get a PixelWorks display chip for upscaling SDR to HDR.
However, whatever features Nokia 6.3 will be shipped with, we should remember that we might have to wait a lot until the device is released. Some sources hinted at a Q3 of this year, but HMD Global didn’t announce anything official, at the moment.
