Super Smash Bros. is one of the most popular games for Nintendo consoles of all time. The game is simplistic, but it is guaranteed to put a smile on everybody who’s playing it. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is one of the top titles for the Nintendo Switch currently, and even though it is a great game, many gamers have been aching for a new playable character. Nintendo listened to its fans as it always did and began working on a new character.
The upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC playable character originates from Nintendo’s fighting game ARMS, and it will arrive in June.
That was made public via the surprise Nintendo Direct Mini event, which revealed a roster of games that will make it on the Nintendo Switch.
The Character
The next character will be announced and released in June, and its identity is yet to be known. Some people posted their theories online, but they don’t sound like they have solid proof, so at this point, they are mere rumors.
We hope to see hints from Nintendo or even leaks regarding the identity of the character next month!
Extended Development Time
Nintendo Jokingly announced that, since the fighter’s arms can extend, they will also have to extend their development time.
The COVID-19 situation took a turn for the worst, so creator Masahiro Sakurai has mentioned that there is a possibility of completely halting the production of the Smash Bros. DLC.
There is a chance that they won’t be able to develop the character correctly, but everybody hopes that it won’t come to that.
Owners of Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions will have access to a free game trial for ARMS, which is nice.
It will be available for download and playing until the 4th of April.
