New Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Location Confirmed: What to Expect

The new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla location has been confirmed. Darby McDevitt, the game’s Narrative Director, unveiled a new location in response to a fan’s question.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla announces the next location that will be featured in the game, much to the delight of all Robin Hood fans worldwide. The beloved Sherwood Forest will become an explorable area within the Snotinghamscire location of the game, though we shouldn’t expect to see Robin Hood. Here is what you need to know.

New Location and Other Features Revealed

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be soon here, and we’re slowly but surely begin given more and more details. The new location announcement might not seem that big, but we’ll certainly enjoy exploring it within the game. It also looks as though there will be a lot of variance within the regions available.

The recent reveal came as a response to a fan’s tweet asking about Robin Hood’s role in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It confirms, as well, that the character won’t be present, but does unveil the location and a sneak peek of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s world map.

So, Darby McDevitt, the Narrative Director, details that Robin Hood won’t make an appearance because the time period is not accurate. His appearance, however, would be perfect in the timeline of the original Assassin’s Creed installment instead, as Valhalla is set 300 years before the character’s rise to fame.

McDevitt further explains that we will explore the Sherwood Forest and pretend to be Robin Hood’s ancestor. And if we consider this, it’s not such a bad thing at all.

Whether or not there will be an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla special Robin Hood or only an Easter Egg within Sherwood forest remains to be seen. The developers said that a reference could be easily made to it since the character in the present would associate it with that folk tale.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be launched on November 10 for PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC users. On November 12, the game will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X, too.
