ARK Survival Evolved is already 5-years old, but it still has a significant fanbase. It’s an action-adventure survival game developed by Studio Wildcard, Instinct Games, Efecto Studios, and Virtual Basement. The game received two days ago a new update for the Xbox One players.
The new update brings fixes for both gameplay and bugs. These are the patch notes:
- Fixed a bug that caused dinos to become invisible in the Sunken Forest on Extinction
- To shoot projectiles, Magmasaur now needs metal ingots
- Magmasaur projectile speed and gravity adjusted for low FPS
- Fixed issues that stopped Primitive+ from playing
- Fixed several crashes occurring
- Fixed a bug that caused some units to make themselves invisible on Genesis
More updates incoming
Another update will be going live for PS4 on Friday, March 13. Furthermore, a PC update will arrive released this week.
The ARK support team explains:
“The big patch that will likely hit PC tomorrow will be deployed to consoles later NEXT week. I hope this clears up some confusion and lets you know what we currently have cooking.
“As you might imagine, things got a little crazy with the Genesis launch so we’re in the process of getting everything back on schedule in terms of patch parity and segmentation.”
Also, there’s no word from the developers about what the PC update will bring new, other than saying that it’s close to 50 fixes/tweaks. The reason for the quietness is that the developers thought that there are features and data on the patch notes that can be exploited by the players. And whether we like to admit it or not, it’s a decent excuse and it makes the players even more eager to get their hands on the update.
ARK Survival Evolved is available for a large number of platforms: Linux, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, macOS, Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch.
