Motorola RAZR “Remastered” To Come Out In November

Motorola RAZR was among the most popular mobile phones, along with V3 and others from the company. Well, now, a Motorola RAZR “remastered” variant, a folding smartphone, will hit the shelves in November this year, as the brand itself suggested via an ad.

That image from above came along with a GIF. Even though it shows some more details on the device, the GIF doesn’t reveal how the new Motorola RAZR works. But, we have some more info on this one, thanks to a patent that Motorola filed earlier this year.

As you may have guessed already, Motorola RAZR is a folding smartphone. The pic below is from the before-mentioned patent document.

Motorola RAZR “Remastered” To Come Out In November

As we can see, the new Motorola RAZR folding smartphone would look quite like the original RAZR mobile phone. It would be as thin as the 2004-released Motorola device, only that it would be a folding smartphone with a touch screen and the functions of a modern smartphone.

While we don’t have any details on its technical specifications, we might have the price of the upcoming device. According to some sources cited by The Wall Street Journal, the Motorola RAZR “remastered” variant would cost $1,500.

Also, the sources stated that the device might come out as a Verizon exclusive. Hopefully, the upcoming folding smartphone would also roll out to other mobile carriers so that more people would enjoy getting it at special discounts.

At the moment, the market for folding smartphone devices is low and faces some technical challenges. We have two examples – Huawei Mate X and Samsung Galaxy Fold. We genuinely hope that Motorola (Lenovo) would do it right this time and launch a reliable Motorola RAZR “remastered” folding smartphone. The device is set to come out on November 13th, 2019.
