LG had shocked a lot of fans and haters when it decided to get rid of the alphanumerical designations in the case of the upcoming LG Velvet smartphone. The South Korean giant even suggested that it will not bring any more phones to the market that have random digits and letters in their names. Surely this isn’t a bad move at all, considering that it’s far easier to memorize a name that actually means something.
Featuring an elegant and nice-looking design, LG Velvet is also packing a powerful Snapdragon 765 processor, which will make the gadget a very fast one. This means that its proud users shall be able to handle the phone with ease while running highly demanding apps and games, or while editing video.
LG Velvet to launch on May 7
With the Korean media claiming that we’ll see the Velvet smartphone launched on May 15 and LG confirming that the gadget is coming soon, the truth is actually more friendly with the fans of LG. The South Korean company itself released a new video of its upcoming phone, saying that it arrives on May 7:
LG will even host the launch event online, and perhaps it will live stream it through Facebook and YouTube. The event will begin at 10 AM KST.
Like most phones released by top companies in 2020, LG Velvet will also feature 5G support. The technology is far from being just a caprice as a lot of people think. 5G is the way that a lot of activities from society will unfold and get done much more easily. For instance, the 5G connectivity will drastically reduce the number of car accidents by being able to provide info ASAP about dangerous roads, car accidents, and so on.
With LG Velvet arriving in less than two weeks, we can only consider ourselves lucky to witness the launch of so many 5G gadgets.
