LG is getting ready to release a new version of its Velvet smartphone series. The LG Velvet 5G has been seen on the Google Play Console listing.
According to the listing, we should expect some of the best features and improvements so far. The smartphone, for example, will be powered by the Dimensity 800 chipset. Previously, the first LG Velvet came with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 SoC.
Another LG Velvet was spotted, but the handset is a 4G version, equipped with a Snapdragon 845 chipset. Here is what you need to know.
LG Velvet 5G Features and Specs: What We Should Expect
The Google Play Console listing unveiled some features and specs of the upcoming LG Velvet 5G. According to the last report, the smartphone will arrive with a 1,080×2,460 pixel resolution and 420ppi pixel density.
As for its software details, the upcoming LG Velvet device is expected to run on Android 10 OS. It will be powered by the Dimensity 800 SoC paired with the Mali G57 GPU. The smartphone is also expected to offer 6GB RAM. The LG Velvet spotted on the German LG website will also come with 6GB RAM.
To recall, LG launched the first Velvet series in South Korea in May. The smartphone flaunts a 6.8-inch full HD+ Cinema FullVision POLED display. Coming to its hardware details, the handset is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset paired with 8GB RAM, while the next LG Velvet in the series will offer only 6GB RAM.
Furthermore, the LG Velvet launched in May offers 128GB internal storage, which is also expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. It runs on Android 10 OS out-of-the-box and has a 4,300mAh battery.
For cameras, the LG Velvet house a triple-rear camera module with a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. At the front panel, the handset features a 16MP selfie camera.
We should expect the upcoming LG Velvet 5G smartphone to be the same as the original LG Velvet, except for the chipset. LG is expected to announce a launch date and other useful information.
