iPhone 12 Official Event: All the Details Revealed

The much-awaited iPhone 12 is finally coming after so many leaks, rumors, and mixed feelings.

The Apple event will take place next week, and the tech giant based in Cupertino is expected to reveal four new iPhone 12 versions and other sleek new products. Also, “Hi, Speed” is written on the invite, and this certainly refers to the A14 Bionic processor, 5G, or both.

So, what can we expect from the iPhone 12? What about the other new devices? Here is what you need to know

iPhone 12 Official Event: Date and Time

The iPhone 12 official event will get underway at 1 PM ET/ 10 AM PT next Tuesday, October 13.

The event will be entirely virtual due to the ongoing pandemic. We’ll be able to watch everything on Apple.com and YouTube.

The iPhone 12 Series

According to previous reports, the iPhone 12 series’ pre-orders will begin the Friday after the Apple official event on October 16. And the iPhone 12 series’ release date would finally happen one week later on October 23.

The company is believed to be launching four iPhone 12 variants in a range of sizes, including the iPhone 12 mini (5.4-inch), iPhone 12 (6.1-inch), iPhone 12 Pro (6.1-inch), and the iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7-inch).

All of the upcoming handsets should offer a faster and more efficient A14 Bionic chipset, and of course, 5G connectivity support. We can also expect OLED panels across the board, a LiDAR sensor for iPhone 12 Pro Max, and much more.

As far as pricing, a fresh leak indicates the iPhone 12 Mini starts at $649, and the iPhone 12 at $749. The other two variants, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, would start at $999 and $1,099, respectively.

Furthermore, the iPhone 12 variants will likely ship with 64GB onboard storage, while the Pro and Pro Max models should have 128GB standard. Apple could also support 20W fast charging, but many reports claim that Apple won’t include a charger at all.

AirTags, AirPods Studio, and HomePod 2: What to Expect

The tech giant might also reveal other new products at its October event, including the Apple HomePod 2, AirTags, and the AirPods Studio.

Apple removed third-party speakers and headphones from all its stores, so this is a clear sign that something is coming.

The AirPods Pro is expected to arrive as Apple’s first over-ear headphones, while the AirTags are rumored to be launched as a new kind of device finder.

Apple AirPower and Silicon MacBook?

Apple might launch its first Silicon MacBook and a wireless charging mat dubbed AirPower. The latest leaks point to another launch event, though, in November, but anything could happen.
