The upcoming Apple’s speculated over-ear headphones got leaked. 9to5Mac succeeded in getting the iOS 14 code. Apple might introduce the over-ear headphones after two icons showcased the variant in the iOS 14 code.
Those two icons display Apple Headphones’ dark and light options suggesting that the company will release two different color designs for those devices. The headphones might arrive in white or space gray color. Or, unlike AirPods and AirPods Pro, these new over-ear headphones might be launched in space gray or black, as well.
iOS 14 Features and Other Significant Details
The two icons suggest battery/volume levels or a charging status widget, for connecting the over-ear headphones in iOS and iPad OS. Many other Apple or Beats headphones have been leaked with icons appearing on the models, even ahead of their official introduction. AirPods Pro, PowerBeats Pro, next-gen PowerBeats 4, all have been manifested in the software.
The icons are expanding below the headband of Apple headphones. Opposing the design of the external headphones, ear pods appear smaller, but other details weren’t mentioned about their appearance.
About the Apple’s First Over-Ear Headphones
It appears that Apple headphones would arrive with almost the same setting and features as AirPods. We should see the auto-pause option, for example, while you remove it from ears, the smooth pairing process, and other functions as well. Apple still got under development the over-ear headphones as the iOS 14 code it first came back in December 2019.
However, iOS 14 can’t be expected to be launched soon, because Apple still got other significant things to do. First, it should release the headphones and then introduce the icons to iOS 13 updates. The speculations for Apple headphones are unfolding over the Internet since 2018. Unfortunately, the launch of the future iOS 14 operating system is getting postponed a lot due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).
