Huawei P40 Would Be A Fierce Competitor For Samsung Galaxy S20

Samsung Galaxy S20 range has been a smash hit, with many owners and reviewers praising the excellent camera performance, which is quite impressive. Even the base model, which comes with a triple-camera array, can take remarkable shots. However, the upcoming Huawei P40 appears to be a real competitor, and it may overtake Samsung’s offering.

A credible source has managed to learn a few interesting details about the upcoming devices, which should offer an impressive user experience. The source has released a few images of the device. Interestingly, the device seems to be developed under the codename of Polarie, with the camera lenses being provided by Blink instead of Leica.

The images showcase the base P40 model, which should challenge the standard Galaxy S20 version. It is theorized that the P40 Pro is developed as a rival for the S20 Plus and S20 Ultra, but the exact specs of the Huawei devices remain elusive at this point.

Huawei P40 to come with powerful cameras, according to rumors

In one of the images which show the rear of the Huawei P40, it is easy to spot a triple camera array arranged in a horizontal line in the upper right corner (if the device is kept in the landscape position). A smaller sensor and a flash are present under the bigger sensors.

Fans believe that the three cameras are the primary sensor, a telephoto sensor, and an ultra-wide sensor. At the same time, the smaller one appears to be a time-of-flight sensor that can be harnessed for the use of special effects, including bokeh. Current rumors mention that the primary sensor will sport 64MP, the wide-angle camera will come with 40MP while the telephoto one is limited to 8MP.

Huawei P40 also comes with a beautifully curved back that has a rich blue nuance and rounded corners that make it easier to hold with one hand. More data could be shared in the future.
