GTA San Andreas – How To Fix a Malfunctioning Mouse

Although nobody denies the obsolete graphics that GTA San Andreas has, plenty of fans of the legendary series are claiming that the 2004 game is even better than GTA 5 or GTA 4. And they have all the right to believe so since GTA San Andreas has some gameplay features not seen in any other Grand Theft Auto title.

We can mention here the robbing of random houses at night where the player has to be as quiet and sneaky as possible, the gang wars, the pimp missions, and so on. But surely, no game can be fun anymore when key controlling component malfunctions. There were situations when the mouse was not working sometimes in GTA SA, and here’s how to solve the issue without needing to connect a controller.

How To Fix the Malfunctioning Mouse Issue in GTA San Andreas

  1. Find and download the gta-sa.exe file from the Steam version of the game.
  2. Open the Rockstar Game Launcher.
  3. Access the Settings menu and then select My Installed Games.
  4. Choose Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
  5. Access the View Installation folder button.
  6. Copy and paste the gta-sa.exe file in the installation folder.
  7. Right-click on the gta-sa.exe file and select the Create a shortcut option.

That’s all you need to do, and GTA San Andreas should be running fine for you. Feel free to test it after completing the above steps, but remember that you can launch the game only from its shortcut. The Rockstar Game Launcher cannot be used for launching GTA SA.

GTA San Andreas remains one of the best games of all time, even with its poor 2004 graphics. Even after finishing the storyline, there are tons of fun things to do in the game. The title is currently available for a large set of platforms: PlayStation 2, Microsoft Windows, Xbox, Mac OS X, iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Fire OS, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
