Catching the attention of a gamer is a tough business. However, most players are easily impressed by the three magical words – Grand Theft Auto.
GTA is one of the most popular titles of all time.
Most gamers are eager to know when GTA 6 be launched, especially after Rockstar’s questionable decision to re-launch the game for next-gen consoles.
Reason For The Delay
We are not pleased by the fact that Rockstar takes so long to release GTA 6. After all, GTA 5 was launched so many years ago.
The release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X is months away, so you might think that it’s about time we are presented to GTA 6. Unfortunately, Rockstar did not think so.
There is an understandable reason why the company chose not to release GTA 6 yet – GTA 5!
The success of GTA 5, which is the second best-selling game of all time, means that Rockstar MUST produce a game that is at least equally good as GTA 5. That takes a lot of time and resources, so we might have to be patient for a bit more.
Also, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic delayed the schedules of most gamer developers.
Launch Date Rumors
Up until recently, it was speculated that GTA 6 would be launched in 2021. However, the re-launch of GTA 5 on next-gen consoles most likely means that we’ll see GTA 6 in 2022, at best.
First of all, we expect to see GTA 6 feature cross-play support.
GTA 6 will probably fix the nasty, painfully long loading times that we’ve seen on GTA 5, all thanks to the ultra-capable SSD technologies that will be present on the new generation of consoles.
We think that Rockstar will release a trailer by the first couple of months of 2021.
