An updated variant of the praised Grand Theft Auto 5 is confirmed to arrive on the PlayStation 5. Could one of the upgrades be a sleek VR mode? A LinkedIn post claims so.
The recent rumors suggest that the studio who developed L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files is now hiring for a “AAA open-world VR title for Rockstar Games.” Here are all the details.
GTA 5 and the Speculated VR Mode on PS5
Rumor has it that GTA 5 might feature a VR mode soon on PS5. Such a thing comes from Video Game Deluxe’s LinkedIn page. An excerpt from the announcement states: “Having finished the critically well-received L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files we are now gearing up for a new project, a AAA open-world title in VR for Rockstar.” The developer is hiring for positions such as designers, senior programmers, and animators.
Since Red Dead Redemption 2 seems to be sticking to the PS4, and Grand Theft Auto 6 is rumored to arrive in 2023, the only game title left, and the most realistic option is the GTA 5. So, are we about to receive a PS VR variant of the most popular game developed by Rockstar Games? It would undoubtedly justify an updated option of the game. Also, don’t forget about the actual PS VR version will work with PS5.
Although we wouldn’t mind an improved, brand-new variant to really take advantage of the potential this project could have, it’s better if we take this news with a pinch of salt or more, you choose!
So far, GTA 5 has proved to be one of the best games developed by Rockstar Games. Now, the game is also the most profitable entertainment product ever done. It succeeded to sold over 90 million copies worldwide and generated over $5 billion in revenue since its first launch. Choosing to update the game regularly should bring more success and fortune.
