Google Will Finally List The Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G Smartphones During Online Event

After tons of rumors and speculations, Google will make both the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G smartphones official. Just like in the usual pandemic times, the event will be held online so that there will be no health risks. Many fans are waiting for big changes coming along the two Pixel phones, as the Pixel 4 disappointed a lot of people.

Both Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G will become official after the Google event scheduled in a week, on September 30.

Snapdragon 765G for both phones

As it was expected, Google will be equipping both Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 with the latest version of the Android operating system: Android 11. Another interesting resemblance between the two upcoming phones is represented by the cameras. Each of the two devices is featuring a dual-camera on the rear capable of a wide 12.2 MP sensor and an 8MP ultrawide snapper. Even the front cameras are the same: single snapper of 8MP for each phone. The 4K video recording capabilities are there as well for the rear cameras, while the selfie cameras can only record footage in the 1080p format.

Last but not least, both Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 are equipped with the Snapdragon 765G processor. Qualcomm has only good things to say about this piece:

Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 765G mobile platform unites 5G and AI to power select premium experiences for gamers across the globe, including 5G gaming at multi-gigabit speeds and select Qualcomm® Snapdragon Elite Gaming™ features and support for all-day battery life.

Pixel 4a 5G has a larger display than the one of Pixel 5: the difference is of 0.4 inches. While the Pixel 4a 5G model features an OLED display, the screen mounted on the Pixel 5 device packs the AMOLED type.

We expect the Pixel 4a 5G to sell for €499, while the Pixel 5 model will be priced a little higher at €629.
