Fortnite welcomed Fortnitemares recently as a special Halloween event.
The event comes with tons of new stuff, including Halloween-themed challenges, cosmetics, and some free back bling. Fortnitemares is now in its second spooky week and is filling the map with a lot of scary content.
Besides riding a witch’s broom or turn into a zombie, you can try the scariest challenge of them all: grab some Bobo back bling!

Bobo Back Bling: What Should You Know
We usually buy back bling cosmetics with V-bucks. But not the newly added Bobo back bling!
The new stuff can be earned by completing a Fortnitemares challenge: to consume Legendary loot as a sleek Shadow.
The following tips and tricks will guarantee you the much-desired Bobo back bling.
Become a Shadow
Becoming a Shadow is the key to finishing the Fortnitemares challenge. All you have to do is, well, die. Next, you’ll turn into a funny-looking, purple spirit.
Also, as you might know, Midas is back as a creepy ghost. Any player who becomes a Shadow will join Midas and his cause to take out the remainder of the still-living fighters.
Complete the Fortnitemares’ Challenge
The “Consume Legendary loot as a Shadow” is actually a squad task, but you can do it alone, too.
Playing in a team is easier because any player who finishes the challenge will bring to the team free Bob back bling instantly! So, being a group is a guaranteed success.
However, if you want to play all by yourself, try these tips and tricks:
- drop to one of the locations with a lot of fishing areas and poles (try the Coral Castle, Camp Cod, or Slurpy Swamp);
- collect some stuff for buildings (wood);
- go fishing using harpoons or poles (Legendaries appear much more while fishing);
- remember that Legendary fish, weapons, items, and thermal fish, all count for this task, just keep fishing until you find something;
- use the wood to build a tall tower;
- drop the Legendary loot in a safe area;
- jump from the building;
- once dead, you become a Shadow, and you can consume the loot.
