Fortnite Season 4, Week 1 arrives with brand-new challenges, many Marvel-themed skins, and mythic items for players to collect.
Fortnite starts a new season with a huge Marvel-themed crossover event. We have to collect skins of our favorite superheroes, save Baby Groot, and defeat Doctor Doom. One of the newest additions of Season 4 is the mythic items related to some Marvel characters. Here is what you need to know.
Mythic Items Details
Season 4 changes Fortnite’s map a bit and brings cool Marvel-themed stuff, including four mythic items that Marvel fans will be impressed and ready to collect.
The first mythic item is Groot’s Bramble Shield, similar to the vaulted Baller Shield. The second is Silver Surfer’s Board, and the last two mythic things are Doctor Doom’s Mystical Bomb and Arcane Gauntlets. Every item requires that players do some specific tasks to collect them in-game.
Groot’s Bramble Shield
Groot’s shield is a more moderate variant of the original Baller shield. It can heal you but has a 25-second cooldown.
To collect Groot’s Bramble Shield, you have to prove you’re the best at taking down drones. Drones can be found at one of the Avengers’ ships. For best results, try taking as many shots as possible. And when the coin drops, you’re ready to pick up the shield.
Silver Surfer’s Board
The Silver Surfer’s Board is extremely rare. It can be utilized to boost yourself into the sky for short periods. You can collect it by landing at one of the Avenger’s ships and trying your hand to shoot enough drones until the Silver Surfer’s Board drops.
Doctor Doom’s Bomb and the Gauntlets
The Mystical Bomb can set things on fire, blasting players caught in the inferno 60 damage/hit. The Gauntlets are also a great addition, launching players into the sky and allowing fast escapes and map movement.
To get these two mythic items, you have to defeat Doctor Doom. He can be found in Pleasant Park, on the football field.
