TubeMate is one of the most popular tools for downloading videos. Unfortunately, some TubeMate users reported a bug that prevented them from selecting the appropriate video resolution setting before downloading videos.
That issue permanently prevented a lot of users from downloading videos.
However, there are a few ways to fix that:
Update The App
Generally speaking, having an app up to date is a requirement to be able to achieve peak performance.
Therefore, if your TubeMate app isn’t displaying video download resolution options, you may be using an outdated version.
If that is the case, go to the official website and get the latest version of TubeMate.
If that doesn’t fix the issue, try the following method:
Clear The App Data And Cache
To clear TubeMate app data and cache, follow these steps:
- Open Settings
- Tap Apps and Notifications -> TubeMate
- Go to the storage section and tap Clear Storage
- Tap the Clear Cache button
- Go back and tap Force Stop and then restart the app.
Battery Optimization Features
Another reason why TubeMate might not work is that the app is on the battery optimization list of your Android smartphone. If that is the case, remove it from that list by following those steps:
- Go to Settings -> Battery.
- Tap Battery Optimization.
- Tap on the TubeMate icon and then pick Don’t optimize.
Display Over Other Apps
TubeMate’s download button is usually displayed on top of other apps like your web browser. If the option that allows that functionality isn’t active, you must activate it yourself by following those steps:
Go to Settings -> Apps&Notification
Scroll down to the Special app access section
Tap Display over other apps -> TubeMate -> Allowed
That should fix it, in case previous suggestions failed to do so.
