The next foldable phone from Samsung should make its appearance this month. We have also heard that the first hands-on video with the device is online. Ben Geskin is the leaker, and he posted a short video with the phone. Rumor has it, and the phone will be called Galaxy Z Flip.
The video does now show much, we have already seen all of it in the leaked photos, which appeared online, but we cannot say if the phone is using a new variant of “ultra-thin glass” from Samsung. But many people are asking themselves how the Z Flip phone might work in reality, and we are very curious about that, too.
At first glance, it seems that the phone is more comfortable to slip into the pocket or into the handbag than anything else we’ve tried so far.
First Glimpse At the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Folding Smartphone
There’s a probability that the Galaxy Z Flip will be revealed at Samsung’s Unpacked event on the 11th of February, a fact that will take place in San Francisco.
However, we are sure that the principal announcement for that event will be the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20, the flagship smartphone. Galaxy Z Flip will fold from top to bottom, and it’s also more compact than Galaxy Fold. In the video, we can see the small 1-inch ticker OLED screen. The phone is set to get the first variant of a folding glass, which should be even more difficult to damage.
Its specs are probably similar to those from phones last year: a Snapdragon 855+ SoC and 8GB of RAM. Do we know how much will it cost? At this point, we have no official statement, but it is rumored to have a price of $1,500 USD.
