This process will restore your smartphone to its original settings, the ones from the manufacturer. All apps will be deleted, and all files, settings, and all the app updates. But you need to keep in mind that your phone will not go back to an earlier version of the Android OS.

For some phones, you might have to do it differently. Go to Settings and find the System. Tap on it and then find the Reset option. Tap on Erase all data. You will get a list of all the data which will be erased. At the bottom, you will see the Reset phone option. Tap on it, then select Delete all data.

If you cannot even get access to your Settings menu, you can reset your phone from Recovery mode. You will do so by using the buttons of your phone. Make sure you also do a backup before, because it will erase all data from your phone’s internal storage.

You should press Volume Down until the Recovery mode is highlighted. Then you need to press the Power button to start the recovery mode. Now you should see an Android robot now.
When you’re in Recovery mode, press and hold the Power button, at the same time, press the Volume up button once, then stop pressing the Power button.
