PUBG may have brought the battle royale genre into the limelight, but Fortnite remains the most famous battle royale title in the world, with millions of active users each month.
After the launch of Fortnite Chapter 2, many players hoped that new seasons would be released more often, but this has not been the case, at least for now. Season 2 will be released on February 20, and Epic Games, the developer behind the title, has started to publish a series of teases via the social media pages of the game.
A first teaser shared by the official Fortnite page features a gold and black handprint logo that looks like a security scan. The logo is positioned between the words ‘’transmission intercepted,’’ and the release date of the upcoming patch can be seen in the upper-left area of the image. A computer-generated graphic map is also visible on the lower side of the teaser.
New changes in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2
After a few hours, a second teaser image was shared, offering a handful of cryptic clues. The blurred image of a golden bust was visible in the background, and the word henchman was present in the upper-right area while being written in several languages.
Some fans argue that the Oro skin that was leaked before may use a type of golden touch to convert other skins to the same color scheme, thus making them henchmen or assistants. Several golden fragments are also visible, including one which shows two people with gliders landing during a storm.
The third teaser complicates the mystery, with the golden bust wearing a bizarre white mask on its head. Several new locations seem to be featured across shards present within the image, while the name of a new location was also spotted by eagle-eyed users who zoomed-in. With the next season arriving soon, more leaks could likely surface.
