Microsoft continues to update its Windows 10 as much as it can, and the October update is just around the corner. You might want to take a look at it, as it will represent a pretty imposing package due to its size (at least!).
Windows 10 fans should expect an overhauled start window, preinstalled browser, and more. The new update is expected to introduce useful feature updates and tweaks in the fall, and bring more prominent changes in the spring.
The new Chromium-based Edge browser is preinstalled
This is one of the highlights for the October update of Windows 10, and the others shouldn’t be overlooked as well. There’s also an improvement to the Alt+Tab function that was used to switch among open apps. Now you have the possibility to rotate through the most recently used tabs from the Edge browser.
Let’s not also forget about the vertical browser tabs that make it easier to keep tabs on large numbers of open pages. By choosing to smart copy, you’ll save snippets along with their formatting.
The ‘Your Phone’ app gets improvements
If you’re among the many users in love with the ‘Your Phone’ app that allows you to navigate through your phone’s apps and files from the computer, you’ll definitely love the new features that arrive with the October update. There’s greater integration available between the phone and PC. Users will now also be able to view links, images and notes from their phones on their desktop PCs.
Windows 10 was released in 2015, and it’s the latest operating system created by Microsoft. Although it has its haters, Windows 10 will probably not be followed by another version of Windows. Judging by the way things look right now and by online rumors, Microsoft could be updating Windows 10 forever. This has never happened before with any other operating system made by Microsoft, but you know what they say: there’s a first time for anything in life.
