DJI’s New Mavic Air 2 Is Great, and Here’s Why

DJI has announced that they will come with an update to the popular Mavic Air quadcopter. It will cost $799, and it will start shipping in May to the US. It has the same price model as the previous Mavic Air model.

The Mavic Air 2 is small, but the new version is a little bit bigger. DJI stated that testing and consumer surveys showed that people did not mind the weight as long as they got an upgrade in flight time, and better handling when there’s wind outside. Thanks to the new improvements and the new design, the company claims that it can remain aloft for 34 minutes. We were used to 21 minutes, so this is great!

About its camera eye

One of the biggest updates in the new larger imaging sensor on the camera. The camera comes with a half-inch sensor, in comparison with one 2/3-inch sensor found in the previous model. This means that there will be a better resolution and sharper images since the output specs have not really changed. we will still get 12-megapixel stills, but with a bigger sensor and with more detail.

When it comes to video, we begin with exciting news!

The Mavic Air 2 is DJI’s first drone that comes with 4K video at 60 frames per second, and with 120 Mbps. The previous models had 30 fps when shooting in full 4K resolution. There is also a slow-motion mode that slows down the footage to four times slower than normal (which means it goes 1080p at 120 fps), or eight times slower (1080 at 240 fps). If you combine these two modes with a realistic contrast, get with the HDR video standard, which is excellent for a drone like this.
