News about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season 4’s delay emerged today (June 3).
The game was booked to arrive today (June 3), introducing new maps, weapons, and operators. But Activision announced that “now’s not the time” to launch Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season 4. Here is what you need to know.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 Latest Details About the Launch Date
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season 4 will be released in the coming weeks. The reason why is that Activision doesn’t want to interfere with the ongoing protests in the US and around the world regarding the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Floyd was a black man killed by a police officer.
Supporting the #BlackLivesMatter movement, the company has decided to postpone the new seasons for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Mobile, and the standalone Call of Duty: Warzone. So, Call of Duty fans will have to wait a few weeks for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season 4 to be launched.
The official Call of Duty account announced: “We are moving the launches of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to later dates.”
Such a decision might disappoint some fans, but the company is acknowledging a very significant situation in the US and beyond.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 New Map
Five new multiplayer maps should arrive in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but some might not be introduced for season 4. According to some leaks, the maps include Broadcast, Harbor, Oil Rig, Garden, and Scrapyard. Scrapyard and Broadcast are both maps that players can discover in Call of Duty 4.
New Gunfight mode maps are expected; the first should be Drainage, and the second, Townhouse. Townhouse is most likely a reference to the townhouse mission in Modern Warfare. Trench and Train were also Gunfight maps found in the code. But, we don’t know if they will arrive this time around.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 Battle Pass Details
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season 4 should bring a new battle pass to follow the structure of the last season passes. For 1,000 COD Points or $9.99, the pass will bring 100 tiers and a new operator, according to PC Gamer.
A battle pass bundle for 2,400 COD Points or $19.99 will let players skip 20 tiers. But those who don’t want to pay for such things can grind their way up the tiers by collecting COD Points.
