ASUS ZenFone 7 Spotted on Geekbench: Features and Specs Unveiled


Asus has announced the release of its upcoming flagship ZenFone 7 lineup on August 7. 

The company will launch the ZenFone 7 and ZenFone Pro. Both are said to flaunt the flip-camera design from its predecessor, the ZenFone 6Z. Recently, one of the versions has been spotted at Geekbench with an upgraded processor. Here is what you need to know.

The upcoming handset from Asus has been listed with the model number ASUS_I002D on Geekbench. The smartphone is believed to be one of the ZenFone 7 variants. But that’s not all. The device also appeared on other mobile authentication websites such as TUV Rheinland and NCC with the same model number. 

According to the Geekbench listing, the Asus ZenFone 7 or the ZenFone 7 Pro will take its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with 1.80GHz clock speed. The motherboard listed is named “Kona.” Such a thing indicates that the ZenFone 7/ZenFone 7 Pro could pack the Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC.

Furthermore, the Geekbench listing unveils an 8GB RAM configuration. Unfortunately, we don’t have other details about storage capacity. But, the presence of at least a 128GB version can’t be ruled out. The Asus ZenFone 7 series is also tipped to arrive with Android 10 OS out-of-the-box. The listing shows the ZenFone 7’s benchmark performance.

In the single-core test, the handset has scored 966 points, while in the multi-core test, the device got 3283 points. That’s all the essential features and specs of the ZenFone 7/ZenFone 7 Pro that has been revealed by the Geekbench listing.

We know that Asus will be packing the upcoming ZenFone series with a flip camera module, similar to the ZenFone 6Z. The ZenFone 7 series is further rumored to come with a 6.67-inch display. Other features and specs will soon be announced. Asus should publish an official statement in the coming months.
