Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Upscaled 4K On PS5!

Ubisoft stated that their upcoming entry to the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise would run at upscaled 4K at 60 fps on Sony’s PlayStation 5.

Big Plans

The game developer recently penned an extensive blog entry, speaking about the next-gen versions of its future titles.

Interestingly, the blog spoke about resolutions of “4K/60 fps” versions for the Xbox Series X and “4K and 60 fps” for the PS5. The latter resulted in people believing that titles like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla won’t run in 4K “at” 60 fps on Sony’s console.

As speculations are building up online, Ubisoft updated some fragments of its blog, but the confusion remains.

This is what we know about the PS5 versions of the following games:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will support 4K at 60 fps.
  • Immortals Fenyx Rising will support 4K and 60 fps.
  • Far Cry 6 will support 4K at 60 fps.
  • Riders Republic will support 4K at 60 fps.
  • Rainbow Six Siege will support 4K at 120 fps.
  • For Honor will support 4K. Ubisoft’s blog doesn’t mention if that’ll be at 60 fps or not. However, it does say that 60 fps will be available for both next-gen consoles.

The information about 4K upscaling comes from a PR representative that DualShockers spoke to. It’s not yet clear if that will be available for both Sony and Microsoft next-gen consoles or if AC Valhalla will run in native 4K on the Xbox Series X.

Though Ubisoft’s PR and communications were a bit messy lately, we are trying to keep you updated on the freshest news regarding the company’s upcoming games. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will launch on November 10th and 12th.

Perhaps that will be the best time to complain or debate resolutions, as we will get our hands on a polished, final product.
