Alien 5 Script – What We Know So Far

The script for Alien 5 has undergone modifications back in March. The franchise started more than four decades ago, but it remains one of the most representative franchises of all time, mainly because of the unique creature design of the Xenomorphs, which still haunts some viewers’ dreams.

Current Status And Plans

There were three sequels to the original movie from 1986 to 1997, before the attention was focused on the Predator for the next two movies in 2004 and 2007.

However, Ridley Scott returned to the Alien side for two prequel movies: Alien: Covenant and Prometheus.

For a while, it was believed that District 9 director Neill Blomkamp would be in charge of directing Alien 5, which was meant as a direct sequel to James Cameron’s Aliens.

Unfortunately, the project was canceled because of the undergoing development of Alien: Covenant.

The good news is that recently it was made public that Walter Hill, a longtime Alien franchise producer, wrote an Alien 5 script.

Though there are only a bunch of insignificant details about Alien 5 for the moment, we are hopeful that it will materialize sooner.

Teasing The Movie

A fresh image of the movie’s script was posted online by Brandywine Productions recently. From the image, we can observe the tagline and two quotes from authors William Tecumseh Sherman and Edgar Allan Poe.

The image also suggests that the Alien 5 project is still work in progress, as the script’s version dates from March.

The good news is that other details suggest that Alien 5 will happen, including the fact that Disney could continue it after obtaining the rights from 20th Century Fox.

One thing is certain – Disney never disappoints, so it’s good to know that it will be worth watching if the movie is released.
