Apple recently announced the iPhone SE 2020 and some hints for the next-gen iPhone 12 lineup. As the current pandemic crisis doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, the company Cupertino-based tech company tries its best to keep up with everyone’s expectations. However, the rumors suggest that besides smartphones and other devices, Apple continues to work at audio accessories – AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro Lite.
We should expect a new series of AirPods and over-ear-headphones. Details about their design and some features have already been leaked. But what should we expect? Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo might have some ideas.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo’s report via 9to5Google, a series of over-ear headphones is believed to begin mass production this summer. It could also hit the market later this year.
Apple to launch AirPods 3 and/or AirPods Pro Lite
Kuo explained that there would be two versions of the over-ear headphones, leather fabric, and other lighter materials. Besides the over-ear headphones, Apple is rumored to be working on two new versions of wireless earbuds, the AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro Lite.
The earbuds could enter the mass production later this year, according to Kuo. Their design is rumored to resemble the previous variants, but Apple might surprise us with some changes. As for the AirPods Pro Lite, some reports indicated that it could be released under the Beats branding.
But no official information announced that. This pair of earbuds was probably the most speculated audio accessory from Apple. Sources suggested that the AirPods Pro Lite might be released alongside the MacBook Pro in May. But again, no signs from Apple to support such news.
Most probably, Apple will soon release some official statements about one of these audio accessories – either AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro Lite. However, one thing is sure, according to Kuo. The company has already begun the mass production for most of the rumored devices.
