A Pokemon GO Leak Reveals Exiting Information About New Features

A leaked version of an upcoming Pokemon GO update has revealed interesting details about upcoming content.

It appears that it’s time to prepare for trouble and make it double as Jessie and James have been spotted. A selection of new Pokemon will also make an appearance, including some Galarian ones.

According to the sources who analyzed the leak, Jessie and James will appear as NPCs. This means that they will be either grunts or leaders during GO Rocket Battles. It is likely that they may come into the battle with Meowth or Wobuffet, and one of them could offer valuable coins as a reward for defeating them.

The Galarian version of Meowth has been spotted in the code, and it is a sign that the Pokemon will be able to evolve into Perrserker. Keep in mind the fact that the regular version does not gain access to this evolution.

Here is the list of the Pokemon that will be available in-game based on the code:

  • MEOWTH_GALARIAN
  • FARFETCHD_GALARIAN
  • DARUMAKA_GALARIAN
  • DARMANITAN_GALARIAN_STANDARD
  • DARMANITAN_GALARIAN_ZEN
  • STUNFISK_GALARIAN
  • OBSTAGOON_NORMAL
  • OBSTAGOON_SHADOW
  • OBSTAGOON_PURIFIED
  • PERRSERKER_NORMAL
  • PERRSERKER_SHADOW
  • PERRSERKER_PURIFIED
  • SIRFETCHD_NORMAL
  • SIRFETCHD_SHADOW
  • SIRFETCHD_PURIFIED

Niantic will also implement a new daily system for the game, including a Daily Encounter that will keep users engaged, as going out to play the game is not an option due to social distancing restrictions that have been imposed in several countries across the world.

This is the code for the new feature:

  • GetDailyEncounterProto
  • GetDailyEncounterOutProto
  • ALREADY_FINISHED_FOR_TODAY
  • MISSED_FOR_TODAY
  • NO_POKEMON_AVAILABLE
  • DailyEncounterProto
  • DailyEncounterOutProto
  • ENCOUNTER_NOT_AVAILABLE

Players will also gain access to a free gift box in the shop. Recent promotions offered the option to purchase some item bundles for a single coin, but it looks like some of the future promotional bundles will be available for free.

It remains to be seen when the features will be included in the regular app.
