New EXIF data importer for photos

CCrocker has been busy with a new importer that scans for EXIF data from photos. Importing this photo data allows you to browse pictures in many different ways such as by decade, resolution or even camera model. With many new cameras storing this data automatically it should make browsing your picture collections much more organised and enjoyable. CRN has also added support for his evolution theme. Add to this the "ken burns" effect slide-show and you have everything needed to make that next family picture viewing that little bit more exciting.

Another piece of the HTPC jigsaw has fallen into place with the release of a new trailer plugin by banderson1311. JKM has done it again, porting the popular meedio theme 'vintage' to MeediOS. JKM has released 'CarbonV' a new MeediOS theme based on a dark carbon look. Download is available from the MeediOS SVN and you will need the latest build to test it. JKM has released a showcase video of some pioneering work done on his MeediOS Vision theme. The video shows off animated backgrounds, 3D movie cover browsing and smooth scrolling thumbnails. MeediOS is still 'alpha' software so not ready for prime time usage but it sure looks good. |
